This is the best Italian deli I’ve ever seen, especially the terrific sandwiches on their incredible bread. Give them a try; you can’t lose.

The cannolis and cheese cake we bought were simply not fresh so we suffered from stomach pain as soon as we had them. Moreover, the taste was poor and it was obvious that poor quality ingredients were used. Such a disappointment! Stay away from buying pastries if you care about health of your family

I was told about a cannoli cream filled doughnut and went to get one myself. This thing was delicious. I mean it's Calandra's and everything is delicious, but what I now call the ....Donnoli.... it hit the spot. Love this place.

Too sophisticated and I love it! Cupcakes are so delicious but the chocolate cake is too sweet for my liking.

Very expensive, deli worker was very slow and didnt get order correct after telling him multiple times. Cakes were old tasting like the shortening was old. Only thing I would recommend is the bread

Calandra's is a great well known bakery that's been around for many years. They have everything you can imagine & even more. They've gotten so big & commercialized (like Ferrara's in Little Italy) that their overhead must be extremely high. As a result, the prices for their products are passed along to the consumer. What we're talking about here is flour, dough, sugar, fruit & some creativity. I think paying $40 & up for a cake is a bit out of line. Ingredients for a cake average $5 to $10 depending what you buy so they are one of the most expensive bakeries in the surrounding area. If you've never been, give them a try...

Awesome food! The got all different types of stuff here. The pepperoni bread is great. The bakery and all the pastries are delicious! Only downfall is the prices are extremely high.

Calandra's has the best cakes, pastries, bread and the list goes on. Their staff are the best. So far I've been to the Newark & Caldwell locations. They do not disappoint. The Caldwell location is pretty big. My husband and I need to go back soon to check out their restaurant.

One of the best bakeries around, worth driving to from many miles away. Show up hungry bc the cafe/deli area makes fresh sandwiches and platters...not to mention the restaurant and bar area. Great for large meals and adult nights out.

Always fresh, try not to get overwhelmed by the cases and cases of bakery goodness. I stopped in for my 1st breakfast sandwich and was not disappointed. Now they do uber eats so if you want their excellent pizza delivered, go for it!

We went here previously and absolutely love the food. But we tried ordering over the phone and they asked for a card to pay. That’s fine, but I was driving. Instead of saying “ok no problem just call back when you stop” the person exclaimed “oh my god this is ridiculous!” Then hung up. Obviously if you want something you have to go in person, since the phone service is clearly their Achilles heel. In short, great food, but don’t bother calling.

Goodness gracious! Incredible deserts, amazing bread, superior service and exquisite ambience! Did I mention they only use four ingredients, never any chemicals or preservatives? A very modest and unassuming Mr. Calandra happened to stop by, he shook my hand and thanked me for my business. That's the kind of old school business, that's not taught at Harvard! Thank you, sir. It was an honour to meet you!

Everything here is fresh and delicious! If I worked here I would be the size of a house!I wouldn't be able to help myself from trying everything! The assortment is huge! The hours open are long and makes it convenient for last minute pastry purchases. The presentation and pastries are also beautiful. I'm glad there are many locations as well.

Cool bakery/ deli/ pizzeria to visit with family or hang out for a few... my wife and I visited for dessert and coffee which they had a large selection and plenty of seat choices ranging from tables and chairs Rob sofas. They were tasty and we enjoyed ourselves
